Sheri Gintner is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants) with over twenty years' experience working in canine behavior, training, and research. She is the owner of Good Dog! Behavior Training in

Sheri is a professional member of the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers), certified as an APDT C.L.A.S.S. trainer and evaluator. She is also a certified member of IAABC (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants) and a member of the ABMA (Animal Behavior Management Alliance). Sheri is a Dog Behavior Consultant for the Western PA Humane Society (WPHS) implementing dog evaluation programs; training staff and volunteers in training and behavior techniques. . She continues her training at Clicker Expo conferences and annual conferences of the APDT. Each year Sheri receives training in teaching people and their dogs, and in training dog sports.
Sheri has developed a variety of unique training programs for the WPHS including Take Five Fido, Fearful Fido, Canine Focus and Bully Breed Ambassadors.
In addition to her private practice, Ms. Gintner is a behavior advisor to Hello Bully and she is certified as an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen (
CGC
) evaluator.
As a speaker and freelance writer, Sheri has presented seminars on topics relating to dog training, behavior, and reactivity in dogs. She has been interviewed by KDKA radio, “Let’s Talk Healthy Pets” a Comcast monthly cable program, and has written articles for APDT Chronicle of the Dog, and other publications. Sheri was a presenter at the 2010 ABMA Annual Conference; her ‘Training 101 Workshop’ received ABMA’s Impact Award the highest award given at the conference. Sheri has also been a speaker at The Federated Humane Societies, and Splash ‘n Dash Dog Club.
Recently Sheri received the 2011 National Association of Women in Business Owners award for volunteerism. Sheri has served as a consultant to a number of animal shelters in southwestern
Pennsylvania
. She is well known for her enrichment protocol for shelter dogs (the Good Dog! Enrichment Program) and by dog owners for her work in evaluating and training reactive, fearful and aggressive dogs.
