This life-saving initiative calls attention to the plight of millions of homeless animals, including mixed-breed
dogs, known as mutt-i-grees, and their fabulous feline friends, living in shelters across the country, waiting for adopters. It also takes aim at reducing the numbers of euthanized pets whose innocent lives are ended simply because there is not enough room in shelters. “Paws To Adopt A Pet” is part of a national mobile pet adoption and humane outreach program. Animals from the Western PA Humane Society Fallen Timber Shelter will be transported to Century spacious, temperature-controlled unit that safely holds up to 35 animals.Shelter pets will be available for adoption at the event. In addition to finding loving homes for the animals, this event will inform the public of the many educational and life-saving services available to pet owners at the Western PA Humane Society’s Fallen Timber and North Shore Shelters. |
